16 round CZ and Mecgar mags not fitting in IWI Jericho 941?
« on: November 28, 2020, 12:24:42 AM »
So a buddy of mine was kind enough to let me try out a bunch of mags in his newer production 941 by IWI. The 17 and 18 rounder CZ-75 mags worked perfectly, but the standard CZ/ Mecgar 16 rounders just barely didn't engage the magazine catch. The slight rise in the top of the 16 rounder baseplate seemed to be the culprit as the 17 and 18 rounders didn't have that issue. Have any of you folks with 941's had this issue before?

I have not tried that particular combination, but as a general rule you just have to try magazines from other manufacturers in the clones to see if they'll work.  Many are close enough to work and many are just far enough off not to work.

What are the floor plates on the 16 round magazines?
In situations like this, I found that the thin metal floor plates can help, if the magazine has thicker plastic floor plates.
However, yes, there are guns, where the 16 rounders will not work.
I use those magazines in the P-01, which has a "boot" floor plate to fill the gap between the end of the magazine and the end of the handgrip. :-)
There is only a camel spit at the bottom of the bidet.
