I think not.  Keep me in mind when you find a source in the USA.

Inspired by the mention of a CZ calendar in another topic I have browsed the website of the European CZ shop.
I came across two interesting books, appearently one in English, the second one in Czech, each is offered there at a price of € 23.96.
Are these books known in the US? At least I couldn't find them on the CZ USA website.

Here are the links to these books,
"Zbrojovka Brno, An Illustrated History"  https://eshop.czub.cz/en/promotional-items/zbrojovka-brno.html

"Legenda jménem CZ" (Legend on behalf of CZ)  https://eshop.czub.cz/en/legenda-jmenem-cz.html?___from_store=de

Of course, I don't know whether czub.cz  delivers to the USA.

you can do a FAUX purchase.  Its like doing a FAUX booking for plane, boat, train tickets.

Just go through ALL of the info and see what happens.

Fwiw, i bought some calendars from CZ UB several years ago and had them sent home.   But its more fun to walk into the store in Prague and buy them.

Also, you can ask them too.

good luck

I've seen those books on the CZ-UB webstore, but didn't buy them since as of last year November, they were no shipping outside of Europe.

The “Legenda jeménem CZ” book is probably the best overall book for background information on the modern CZ pistols. It is a hefty book of information on the company history and products and while one can plod through individual pages or chapters with an e-translator, a decent level of knowledge of the language is often needed to navigate the nuances of the language. Double negatives are one such common minefield so understanding context is crucial.

Released in 2016, there was a update in 2017. In the past four years since the book was released, one can see how much CZUB has added to its portfolio of firearms by what’s not covered. I would like to meet one of the authors, David Pazdera, one of these days. I think it’s more appropriate to interpret the title as “The Legend named CZ” in English.

it could be a company decision.

I bought a copy directly from the author, he even signed it. Later I bought two more to give away in the Christmas drawing. Not specifically about firearms, but includes them and is an interesting read.

And the latest book by David Pazdera, CZ 75 Pribeh cesky legendy (Story of the Czech Legend) was released last Fall with the most details on the development, production and serial numbers than ever before in his earlier works. I will update the Forum serial number history sticky with information culled from the book.

Forum member Czecoslovakgunstories has posted a YouTube link here in which he discussed some of the interesting information in the book.

Maybe we can get CZ-USA to do a "Kickstarter" (or equivalent) to fund English language translation of the reference books?
