Old 85 combat upgrades

Picked up a 85 combat from 2012 in great shape ... thinking about putting in a cajun gunworks standard package. Is it worth it or better to keep it stock and just replace all the springs?

The CGW hammer, short reset disconnector, and 13# mainspring are absolutely worth it and will pretty much transform the gun.

I always liked the 85 Combats as you can pretty much build them into a Shadow exactly how you like being that they lack a firing pin block.

My '96 85C is loaded with CGW upgrades.

Great pistol all around, even with the Kadet kit.

Might consider a CGW match/upgrade barrel bushing as well.  Some pistols don't need them.  Some benefit from having one installed. 

If you've thought about changing the front sight then that is a perfect time to install a new barrel  bushing, too.  The pin that holds the front sight in also holds the barrel bushing in place.
