As for saving money by reloading with the current inflated ammo prices my newest press a 1 year old Dillon XL750 set up for 9mm....

When you run out of primers I'll give you $500 for that press !   O0

The real short answer to the original poster is "No."  It is the absolute worst time ever to try to get into re loading.

Was at the range and a guy asked what did he need to buy to "make ammo."  I could not answer since I could not find a starting point to explain it.

If that is the case, sounds like you just need to shoot more!

If it goes "boom" or "vroom" I'm intersted.

Where there's a will... there's a way.

Just make sure I'm in your Will.  O0

PS. For a Strong Mount and a box of primers, I'll also be glad to dress appropriately and say nice things at your funeral/wake.  ;D

Is this a bad time to start reloading 45 ACP for my CZ97B ?

It's a bad time to start reloading.

It's a great time to begin to consider reloading. Do the research. Buy a manual and read up on it. Set aside a work area, complete with bench and lighting. Ask questions. Gather tools. Etc....

Also beside reading some manuals you could spend some time on Youtube looking at hands on tutorials.

You should quickly quickly find out who the knowledgeable guys are and who the pretenders are.  I usually read the comments below the video before watching it. Just to see how bad the guy gets trashed.
