First range day w the 75B Omega
« on: December 23, 2020, 09:18:35 PM »
My first pistol was a Sig P226.  Then picked up a Colt 1911 Commander in 38 Super.  And then a Browning Hi Power.  That was my fave.  Got a Beretta M9A1 because it fit the pattern of what I liked but it just didn’t feel as good to me as the Sig, Colt and HP.

And then I got my CZ 75B Omega.  It was love at first sight.

Spent a couple weeks getting to know it. Cleaning it, dry firing, had to replace the decocker. Got a set of VZ grips but decided I liked the stock ones better.  Finally got it to the range today.  Put 200 rounds down range and I AM HOOKED.  Ergos as good as the Hi Power.  A little more mass though so it’s easier to control.  Trigger feels pretty dang good in SA mode. Very close but not quite as good yet as my HP but the HP is well broken in and has the magazine safety disconnected.

So just  ordered a 75 PCR Compact.  :)

Those UG Omegas just call to me.

Every time I went to a gun show and saw one on the table it was an internal fight to not pick it up.  I knew if I picked it up I'd be taking it home and I already have too many CZ's I never get to shoot.

Pretty pistol.  Glad it shoots good for you.
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

Good for you.  I like the beavertail and wish CZ would put it on all their hammer guns.

Congrats. Strongly suspect this won’t be your last CZ, as these are ergonomically great, reliable & reasonably priced.  I am a huge CZ fan, and my favorite ( like having a favorite child :) ) is my P01 Omega. I like  the trigger shape, the forward sweep of the decocker and ability to convert it to a manual safety if desired.
Like a midget at a urinal, I'll have to keep on my toes

+1 on this one! Had my new one for 3 days before sending it off to CZ Customs for some work. Should have it back in a few weeks. Can't wait to see it with the changes. I'll post a pic when it comes home:)

They are indeed addicting! My first CZ was my 75B Omega. Then a few months later I picked up a P-01 Omega. Several months later I also bought an SP-01 Tactical. Mine are all very accurate and easy to shoot well thanks to the legendary CZ ergonomics. The SP-01 especially makes it look like I know how to shoot.

You will very likely buy more...
