palm swell vs. thin grips

I'm looking at ordering some G10 grips for my first CZ 75 compact. Probably LOK grips, unless there's a little-known and amazing alternative that someone can suggest.

Generally, I appreciate palm swell grips and like them on some other guns that I have. My first instinct is to go with palm swell size. But, this could also be a carry piece... Does one pay a real price in grip quality, by going to the slim size? And does it create a noticeable difference in carry comfort IWB?

Unfortunately, I'm not in a position to "try before I buy," so I'll have to make the decision based on gut instinct and any experiences you fellows can relate. My hand size is a bit larger than average -- long fingers mostly.

It is gonna be a tough decision for you.
Definitely I'd recommend LOK grips. There are few alternatives, but LOK, in my  opinion is the best option.
If you want to carry this pistol, please consider less aggressive texturing.
Size depends on your hands. I originally went with STANDARD size, but changed back to PALM SWELL, which fit much better. I cannot tell if my hands are big..but my fingers are longer than average.
I eventually ended up with "Roughnecks" texturing with a little of sand paper polishing. The grip is perfect for carrying and everyday use.

I used to prefer palm swell grips on my CZ's, but after thousands of rounds fired, I now prefer a flat G10 grip, or a flat wooden grip.  As far as carrying, I don't think either type makes a concealing difference.

Thanks jurek, that's probably what I'm going to do as well, unless some strong experiences/opinions appear to make me reconsider.

I also see you went with the liner, which is funny since I've been considering exactly the same option (it's a great look on that pistol in your picture). I'm probably going to go with a green theme in some way, though, due to the radioactive connotations of 1970's "iron curtain" designs. Amplified by the fact I just recently watched the HBO Chernobyl miniseries.

I run the factory rubber grips on both my PCRs.  I might change them out, if I did it would be lok grips with palmswells.  I do have several pair of lok grips, you'd be hard pressed to find better grips.

One thing I do is place a strip of skate board tape on the front strap and tuck it under the grips.  This IMO locks your hand/grip in place much more than just textured grips.

I do believe the lok palm swells are molded after the factory rubber grips, so if your compact has those, lok will feel the same.

I do reserve the right to experiment with other looks and profiles later on.
