CZ 527 trigger adjustment

Opened up my brand new 527 (7.62x39) today to adjust the trigger to be ready for a chance to take it out for the first time.  But none of the set screws have a slot in the exposed end to seat a screwdriver.  How do I turn the set screws?

All mine (newest a 2017 made 527) have slotted screws, the screws take a very fine screw driver but there there. I'm wondering if they've changed them. Afraid I don't know for sure.

All of mine are older than 2017 models. There are several adjustment points on the single set trigger, mine have jam nuts on all except the set trigger adjustment. It’s been a long time since I’ve adjusted one but I believe I used small model wrenches and screwdrivers. They can be difficult to get it done the first try but well worth it.

Yes four screws two of the screws have jam nuts 1 a 6mm nut and the other a 7mm nut. The instructions are on the CZ-USA website and in there annual catalog. The screws require a very fine blade. BStill mentioned his rifles a new one and I was wondering if maybe CZ changed there screws to discourage people from messing with the trigger.

They may have, I haven't messed with one newer than 2016

BStill have you figured out how your going to adjust your trigger? Also if I may can I ask what prefix your serial number begins with (None, A, B,C, ect.) My 2017 6.5 Grendel has a C prefix with slotted adjustment screws and I think there up to D but I'm not sure.

mine actually starts with F.

I would normally want to shoot a gun first before adjusting anything, but I was surprised at how light and tight the regular trigger was set right out of the box.  I'll give CZ a call.

I've just been using the set trigger as shipped from the factory, it's plenty sensitive, really like it, good luck. I may someday mess with the standard feel.

I called CZ.  The two set screws that don't have locking nuts take a 1/16 hex wrench.

I tried to add some pre-travel to the main trigger.  I also tried to increase the pull weight of the main trigger, up to a point.  I found that when you compress that spring beyond a certain point it will disable the set trigger.  i.e., if the main trigger is set too heavy, the set trigger will break without releasing the sear.

So basically a change in screws from slotted on all four screws to an Allen screw in a couple. At least the trigger is still adjustable.
