TS2 unreasonable trigger pull - continued
« on: August 26, 2023, 01:03:32 AM »
Got back my TS2 with the same issue of extremely light trigger pull
of 1 pound. Still looking for a heavier spring that is compatible with my TS2.  Any suggestions greatly appreciated.  Thanks

Have you tried a Tanfoglio sear spring? I believe they are four coil where CZ is three so the weight should be a little heavier. Also have you thought about the fact that it might not be a spring problem? It might be that your sear or hammer hook angle might have been cut incorrectly which could give you a lighter trigger pull. I know that if you cut the sear and or hammer wrong on a 1911 you can end up with a fully automatic pistol. To check this out pull back the hammer and you can see where the sear locks into the hammer hook. Slowly pull the trigger to see when the sear releases the hammer. If the sear barely moves before the hammer falls either the sear or hammer hook is not right. That's my thought on it. I have a TS2 also and I like to bullseye shoot so I pull the trigger slowly. The first time I took the TS2 to the range it seemed like it took forever for the hammer to fall. So I watched the sear hammer action and the sear had a lot of creep before the hammer fell. I put a CGW race hammer in it which was advertised to make the trigger heavier and it cut the creep to less than half and I was happy with that.

How many different posts are you going to make asking this? The first post you made had plenty of suggestions.

What are you using this TS2 pistol for?
I use mine for target shooting shooting and find the 1# pull to be easy-to-adjust to and enjoyable to shoot.  It isn't a carry gun and I don't complete (so I can't weight in on its applicability there).  That is, the trigger is very reasonable for the purpose that I use it.  What are you using it for?
