Any Issue Using Trigger Set Screws on Alloy Frame?
« on: March 03, 2021, 07:00:22 PM »
Recently purchased and installed a Reach Reduction Kit on my P-01 and got nervous that the set screws may damage my alloy frame. Am I worried about nothing?

The Trigger set screws can mark the finish, nothing too significant from my examples. What is and is not significant can be subjective though. The value of the over travel set scerw can vary from psitol to pistol. If there is not allot of Single Action over travel present, it dose very little. I would leave it out if you are concerned and shoot it for a while. It can be installed when and if you find the need.
Will work for CZ pics! (including but not limited to all CZ clones)

Didn't this come up a couple years back and a member shared vendor/parts description for some set screws with hard polymer tips on them to minimize/eliminate the possibility of this sort of wear/damage?

I'll take a look at my pictures (the poster shared a picture of the box with description/part number on the label.)

I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

Thats a great idea! I'm sure a polymer set screw can be used. I'll report back when I find one
Thanks

I installed the Pro Package in both my PCR's and there is plenty enough overtravel that I wouldn't have left the screws out. They seem to be doing just fine. I'm not at all worried about any adverse wear.
