CZ 70 slide not locking back on last shot

Hey all!

First post on the CZ forum, so thank you so much for having me and taking the time to read!

I recently purchased an 81 Vzor 70, and LOVE it. The only issue I’m having is that the slide will not stay open after the final round is fired. It DOES however lock back when I do it by hand on an empty mag. I’ve tried many different types of ammo brands and it never locks back while shooting.

Does anyone have any fixes I should try? I can only think of the recoil spring, but it seems stock so I’m not sure how that would be the issue.

I was using Winchester 71gr fmj, and then someone suggested trying European ammo, so I went to Fiocchi 73gr fmj, and it still won’t lock on the last shot. I’d like to mention to that I bought a new mag, and it still did it as well. If it locks back when manually pulling the slide back, it makes me think it’s not fully cycling when shooting, but I’m not having any fail to feeds or eject, so I’m kind of lost lol.

If it isn't working with the Fiocchi, then I would check the strength of the magazine springs

I used  Wolff springs for both my 50/70 and only filled the mag with 5-6 rounds of Sellier and Bellot .32 ACP  ... when i can find it. It solved my slide and feed issues.
