Cz75 D p01 Omega trigger bar spring
« on: July 29, 2021, 08:35:03 AM »
Has anyone decreased the tension on the trigger bar spring? Does it make a noticeable difference on smoothing out the action?
The only part that I haven’t  purchased on cgw is their hammer for my p01 omega. Not sure if it will make the pistol action any better.

Smoothing the interface between the spring and trigger bar seemed to help more than decreasing the tension.  There were rough spots on the trigger bar groove where the spring fit.  Used a fine Emory cloth to clean it up.  Also rounded a small burr on the spring itself.

Good luck.

How many rounds do you already have through it?  That spring tends to de-tension itself through regular use over time.  I've done most of the polishing and other things recommended on this forum to improve the Omega triggers in my P-07's, and overall they are much better than they started, but I never manually de-tensioned that spring, because it seems to already be de-tensioned from live and dry fire.

As the other poster recommended, be sure there are no rough spots in that groove underneath the trigger bar where the spring rides, and no burrs on the tip of the spring that rides in the groove.  Also make sure that groove is clean and lubed.

One additional thing I thought to suggest was the DA roller.  Have you replaced that with the CGW version?

Replacing the hammer cleans up the single-action break, that grittiness or creep at the end of the wall.  Replacing the DA roller can improve your double-action pull.  In the P-07 and P-09 you have to measure your factory roller and get a similar-sized version from CGW, but on the metal-framed Omegas they apparently only sell this one:

I don't have specific experience with the P-01 or CZ75 Omegas to say how these may work out.  The ones I got for my P-07's did clean up the DA pull quite a bit.

I have not replaced the DA roller or the hammer. It’s on my list of next upgrades. I hope it will noticeable for $108
