Guide rod put in backwards
« on: August 22, 2021, 12:07:30 PM »
I was pitting my cz p10 back together I ended up putting the guide rod in backwards. Now it is stuck back and I cannot get the slide off. Can anyone help please?

Is the guide rod plastic or metal.  If plastic I would get a rubber mallet and tap it off.  You will probably have to replace the guide rod.  If metal I would take it to a gunsmith.

I believe I became unseated I was able to get it off just pushing the slide back until it sat and was able to get it in proper place it slid right off

I know someone who did that and it took extra elbow grease to get it to move. Once off a function test was done and the sidearm was just fine.
