P-10 C recoil spring assembly half moon off center?
« on: August 13, 2021, 02:22:00 PM »
Okay, lads, tell me what's going on here please.  I just bought this P-10 C new at Academy Sports, and on inspection noticed that the half moon cutout on the barrel/locking block that receives the recoil spring assembly is way off center.

I looked at my P-10 F, and that half moon cutout is perfectly centered.

Is this a manufacturing defect, or have I lost my mind?

Please descramble my brain tube.  Thanks.

CZ P-10 C.

Wow never seen that before. Someone screwed up at the factory.

Yeah, so I took this back to Academy Sports and they are sending it off to CZ at no cost to me.  Good for Academy Sports.  Strike 1 for CZ.  But I'm giving CZ the benefit of the doubt for now, subject to their response and turn-around time.  I'll report back when that happens.

Man, how did that make it through QA?  That's pretty sad.

Maybe its a prototype that's designed to shoot around corners.

I agree in that CZ should have caught that at the factory but it happens. The fact is once the gun is assembled that cut out has zero bearing on how the gun functions. I'd have sent it back too though.

Come to think of it, my latest purchase before the P-10 C, a P-10 F, had problems out of the box too.

Probably should have bought a glock  since your luck with those seems to be so much better. Others haven't faired so well. Some people just seem to have better luck with certain things than others do.
