P-10C in .40 S&W??
« on: December 12, 2021, 11:58:35 AM »
I have seen references on the webs to the P-10C in .40 S&W but I have never seen one for sale.  Was this gun ever actually made and sold in the US?  I would love to find one if so.  If they exist at all they must be pretty rare.

Thanks, namsag.
I make it they take it

They don't exist and never have. I think in the pre-production days of the P10-C the notion was that a .40 would be made but CZ has abandoned the .40 altogether. Only other caliber in that line is the P10-F in .45 ACP.

I believe I've seen magazines for a .40 S&W P10, don't know if I have any of the new ones I was buying last year that are marked that way on the package or not.

Sometimes they make stuff most of us don't even know they've made (I've got a new in the package 16 round P09 .40 S&W magazine.  Not with the extended base pad, but a flat bottomed 16 round .40 mag.  (every other one I've seen holds 15 with the flat base or 17 with the +2 base.  No idea how many were made before CZ walked away from the .40's in the plastic framed guns.

Oh, not saying there are .40 S&W CZ P10C pistols out there, but I'm pretty sure they made magazines for them (maybe gearing up to make the pistols before they trashcanned the idea of making them in .40.
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

Hope the 40 makes a recovery.  A P-10 in 40 would make a fine pistol.

Because the P10 mags were/are designed to crossover to the P-07 which was made in .40 but is now discontinued in that caliber. I have a slew of the new steel frame compact mags that are marked for use in .40 such as the P-06 or 9mm such as the 75B compact, PCR, P-01 but they are not making any metal framed compacts in .40 and the P-06 has been discontinued for a good while now.

Thanks, I was thinking that this was the case.  It's a shame too, it would be a heck of a pistol.  It was seeing the magazines for sale that made me wonder as well.
