Sig P320 X5 caliber X Caliber X Change kit
« on: July 20, 2021, 04:37:10 PM »
A couple of years back I bought a Sig P320 SC as an unissued LÊ trade in, but I never found love for the pistol.  I was able to buy a P320 X5 Caliber X change kit and moved the FCU over, today was a quick range trip, and I’m impressed with how the recoil is managed by the tungsten infused grip module. Very soft shooting compared to a P320 carry, or a P320M17. It’s not something you’d carry, but a very soft shooting pistol.  Now for a red dot for my aging eyes, and this will be a favored range toy behind my S2 AND Duo tone shadow.  Now to get the trigger worked on and this will be a really fun pistol.

I dam near bought a 320 X5 LEGION the other day. Had the paperwork nearly submitted till they mentioned they had an MPX on the wall. And that was one of my bucketlist guns lol. But dam that was a fine pistol. I could tell just by holding it.. it was something sweet. Racking it was like nothing. Congrats. I plan to circle back around and get one later.

Install either a DPP, Trijicon RMR/SRO or Sig Romeo 1 pro directly since the cut was made for these optics. I had been shooting one in USPSA’s carry optics division along with my shadow 2.

I grind down, drilled and tapped the mag release and installed a shadow 2 mag release pad on it a couple of years ago.

The weight is close enough to my shadow 2 setup.

I would go with a DPP since it is a range gun. The window is much larger than an RMR.

Probably going to put a R1P on this one.  I’m ready for something new after four DPP’s. Supposedly the Romeo pro is brighter than the DPP.

P320 X5 is a great gun. I shot one a lot for a couple of years, with a Romeo on it. Right up until I bought my Shadow 2 late last year. Pretty much been a safe queen since then.

I bit the bullet so to speak and put a Romeo one Pro on the X5  so much brighter than the DPP and the cowitness is awesome,  it makes finding the dot so much easier.  I only wish i'd have invested in the X5 earlier,
