Fitting CZ-75 base plate onto CZ-82 mag?

Hi y'all, I ordered a rubber CZ 75 base plate for my CZ-82 magazines after some research here, but they're giving me a little trouble.

I've got the smaller lanyard loop so they fit in just fine, but the magazines now don't catch properly, and they slide right out even if I'm really slapping them in.

I like the feel of the extended base otherwise- any tips on how I could fit them so they'll stay in? Seems like I could maybe file the top of the base plate, or else widen the little hole in the side here it hooks onto the magazine catch, but I wanted some advice before I go ruining anything.

The CZ 75 base plates don't fit the CZ-82 magazines.

I have several NDZ aluminum base plates in back as well as red, that I could sell for $10/ea.

Update: The rubber CZ-75 compact base plates (forgot to add the Compact part in my OP) do fit, but they needed to be shaved on top with a dremel slightly and they still need a little more slap to get them to catch. Still worth it though, they're nice and flush and give me a much better pinky grip with my medium-large hands.

I've got it combined with the Hogue handall jr, nothing fancy but I've seen a significant improvement in range accuracy with the improved ergonomics.

I use the mag base for the full sized CZ 75. It fits perfectly with the small loop cz 83 main spring housing.

these  mag bases work with the CZ 82 mags that have the thin steel base not so much in the mags with the thicker alumunium bases. they leave a gap between the mag base and the "magwell" of the 82 and doesnt look right.

see pics these bases look like they were made for the CZ 82/83.
