Which Dawson Kadet front F/O sight for a P-07
« on: December 03, 2021, 04:09:00 PM »
Those that have changed the front P-07 OEM Kadet kit sight for a Dawson fiber optic sight, what height did you select?  Measuring my front sight (with a 1 stamped on the sight) I measure 5mm overall from bottom of sight base to the top of sight and to me that should be .196850 rounded off to the .195 sight according to the Dawson chart for the Kadet Kit. However this is actually the measurement of the entire OEM sight height (5mm) ....not height from the top of the slide to the top of the sight.   I have seen a few people using this and then see some saying they used the .170 height.  Seems it would be much easier to measure like I did...the actual sight height and order one that same size....any reason why Dawson does not do it  like this?....or use mm like everyone else selling CZ sights.

Think that Dawson does not use it is that you have to take the sight off the pistol in order to measure it.  If you have calipers you can get the measurement from the top of the slide pretty easily.  I change both sights so the measurements on mine would not do you any good.

If you have the measurement on the sight and know the sight radius and how far you need to move your group, you can call Dawson and they will assist you with which one you need to order. They have an application on their web-site, but I can never get it to work.

Wish you the best of luck.
