I ordered a P-10F barrel earlier this week and received it today, along with their non-captured guide rod and standard weight recoil spring.  I ran a patch through the barrel and then borescoped it.  Looks perfect to me.  And the barrel is a snug fit in the slide, and I don't believe I need to do anything to fit it.  So far, it is a great piece of work.  Not sure when I will be able to shoot it, probably not until Tuesday, at least at 100 yards.  I may go to a pistol range and make sure it cycles fine and that it isn't too snug.

I got some attachments for the Teslong borescope that folks may be interested in as well--a stand alone monitor/recorder to use in the shop, and a mirror that is sized for a 9mm bore.  The 9mm mirror is what I've been needing.  I've made up some bushings to use with the 4mm diam (.22 barrel) mirror  but this larger diameter mirror works SOOOO much better!

I may make a video of the new Teslong monitor, 9mm mirror, and the fine (looking!) Primary Machine barrel later today or tomorrow.  A good day for deliveries.  Now if the range will just dry out from the recent rain...

Finished a video early this morning, uploading now, should be available after 9:15 am central time US.

The Primary Machine barrel looks great.  Probably won't get to shoot it until Tuesday, not sure yet.  Might try Sunday morning if we don't get any more rain today.

The video also shows some new to me Teslong bore specific mirrors and a standalone monitor/recorder.  I used the monitor to set up the borescope session and to record the video file.  I then transferred the video file to my computer just as if I had used a "real" camera.  This works very well, and allows me to 'scope the barrels in the shop instead of bringing them in to my cluttered office.  Pistol barrels aren't much of a problem.  The 20 lb .308 sniper rifle is dangerous indoors on an office desk filled with monitors and audio equipment.

What matters is how the new barrel shoots and how consistent it is from one shooting session to the next.  It may take a few weeks for me to accumulate enough data to know for sure.  It's gotta be better than the factory barrel!  Hoping it is as consistent as my absolutely perfect P-09 barrel.

Decided to take a chance and go to the nearby public range on a Saturday afternoon.  Football must have kept some folks home.  The rifle range was full, but the pistol range had some open lanes, so I shot the P-10F at 15 yards with the new barrel, first 20 rounds with UMC 115 FMJ and then 30 rounds of IMI to get the zero a little closer in anticipation of 100 yards next visit.

No malfunctions, nothing too tight but definitely tighter than the factory barrel, judging from the slide heat after shooting 50 rounds fairly rapidly for me.  After the barrel cooled down, I ran the borescope through it just to see what the copper and carbon pattern looked like.  Looked great to me.  Here is a 2 minute video.

This is fun.  This is not easy.

My PM P10C barrel halved typical group size in comparison to my oem barrel. Great products and company. Interested to see how it does at longer ranges.

I couldn't stand it.  I went back to the range this morning and was there when they opened the gate.  Got my favorite lane on the 100 yard range and ran 65 rounds through the Primary Machine barrel.  It grouped well but I had an occasional shot a foot high at 100 yards.  That wasn't me.  I suspected the barrel fit was a little too tight and the barrel just wasn't going 100% in to battery probably on the first round of five.  Video showed that to be the case, but it wasn't always the first shot.

When I got home I compared the barrel hood dimensions to the factory barrel.  Sure enough, the Primary Machine barrel hood was about 2 mil longer and wider than the factory barrel.  It will just take a few hits with a small file to loosen it up a little.  At the range, it seemed to do a little better with the very thin Hoppe's Black oil, and that is consistent with a very snug fit.  This is a good result, as I can take material off but I can't add any.

When I checked the barrel to slide fit at home this afternoon, the barrel hood dimensions seem perfect to me.  The barrel slides in to position easily and there is a little axial play, like a thou or so, so I cleaned out the mating surfaces and put a little light oil on the lock up points and will leave it like that for at least one more range trip.  With a consistent lock up, the barrel is definitely good for 4" at 100 yards.  My eyes may not always be able to do it, however.

My video recorder drive filled up before I got through the range session this morning, and I missed the last 15 shots, which I think were my best groups of the day so no video unless I can find something from the first two targets worth showing.  I'll work on it.  I also decided not to clean the barrel, as it only has a little over 100 rounds through it so far.  I did borescope it, and the copper and carbon deposits are smooth and uniform, just as I expected them to be.  In other words, looks similar to the P-09 barrel, which is exactly what I wanted to see.
