If you don't know it already you can use the magazines for the full size 75 series in the compacts as well. They will stick out farther obviously but they function flawlessly.

can also use the CZ SP-01 base pad on the CZ 75 16rd magazine for the the CZ 75 compact

Yea, if you don't mind it sticking out 1/2" [on the 16rd CZ mag] which would end up tearing your hand and pinkie.

Umm yes they stick out and no they do not tear up your hand unless you have extremely large hands. I used to use my 75 mags in my P-07 on a regular basis with zero issues.

I have noticed the same issue of difficultly in finding 14-15 round magazine for 75 compact. I have put myself on lists to be notified when the retailer has them back in stock.
