Not that I ever need a 'reason' to head to the range for a shooting/training session, but the weather here today made it a no-brainer... took advantage of a sunny and almost 70(!) degree day in an area that is normally 32 or less with white on the ground this time of year... 6 hours on the range and by the end my Bren has now passed the 12,000-rounds-fired mark, still without a SINGLE weapon-related (as opposed to ammo-related) malfunction... love shooting this weapon and can honestly say that over the past several months it has made me a much better (combat carbine) shooter... CZ rocks..!

Not to resurrect this thread but how did the recoil spring hold up?

How is the accuracy of the barrel holding up after 12k rounds considering it?s not chrome lined? I?ve read reports of HK MR556 barrels which are also not chrome lined being shot out around 10k rounds. Curious how the Bren barrels hold up at high round counts.

In his pics...just fine...little erosion...honestly...to me all the erosion I've seen is to the chrome plating not the metal per say.
