S&W model 60, Chiefs Special stainless
« on: December 09, 2021, 07:23:09 AM »
This one is not mine, but a friend recently bought it for $ 380 at an LGS I introduced him to (some friend, buying nice guns from under my nose). 1979 made I believe.

I am not a big snubby fan since a lot of my shooting is done at 25 and 50 meters. However this is a very nice little revolver complete with box, papers and cleaning rod and sight screwdriver still unopened, so I thought I’d show it here.

This thing is so tiny

We shot a few cylinders in rapid double action at 7 and 10 meters and it performed really well. Also tried 5 shots at 25 meters and all were on target.

I’m a little jealous now.

That's a very nice Model 60. Heck, even the screwdriver is a collector's item now. Your friend made a nice find.

To keep it old school and still improve functionality, I'd recommend adding a Tyler T-Grip (http://www.t-grips.com/). They were very popular back in my LEO days before the advent of better grip options.

Your friend didn't buy it - he stole it for that price. I am very envious.

Love the old J-Frame revolvers.  Still looking for a 4in 32 S&W Long.
