Bren 2 11 inch in Military Mod match
« on: November 07, 2021, 07:27:24 PM »
All, my club hosts a Military Mod match which encompasses firing at 300 yards.  What is others' experience with shooting the Bren 2 11 inch at that distance (and, would appreciate any information on scope to go with it).  Thank you in advance.  Oh, what bipod would you recommend using with this?

I'm using the Primary Arms GLX 2X prism with the ACSS for my 11" 7.62x39 with SBT brace, factory flash hider and a HD piston spring. It's a very nice tidy robust package that's insanely accurate (for x39 anyway  :o) and great for CQB plus able to easily ID and reach out to 3-400m distance with the 2x magnification.  O0  Bipod? what is this thing you call a bipod? LOL!

Impressive and inspiring.  With my eyes, not sure I could hit a target at 300 yards with a 2x magnifier.  Well done.

So, was out at the range today and had no problem nailing center mass iron torso targets at 300 yards.  For those interested, I'm using a Holosun 510c red dot with their 3x magnifier.  I'm shooting in 5.56.  I was planning on swapping out the barrel to 16 inch when (or, should I say, if) the become available, but now I'm not sure that's necessary.
