Want To Know who sells good quality cz M70 at present.
« on: January 04, 2022, 01:27:00 PM »
I am interested in finding a cz m70.
Can anyone recommend a source for a CZ M70 that would be of good quality.
The more cosmoline the better :D

 I'd appreciate the help.
Thanks

I had to look that model number up.  It is a Zastava, not made by CZUB (i.e. a CZ clone).

A quick Google search shows that a number of dealers sell this model:

https://zastavaarmsusa.com/
https://atlanticfirearms.com/zastava-arms-usa
https://www.classicfirearms.com/long-guns/ak-47-for-sale/zastava/

and there are a few listed on Gunbroker.com.

CZ24/27/38/40P/45/52, Vzor 50/70,75BΩ,75D Compact,P01/07/09,P10M/S/C/F(9mm,.45), Phantom,SP01 Tactical,Shadow 2 (Blue,Urban Gray), 82/83/85 PreB, 97BE,97BD,97BDE,100,1911A1, 2075D RAMI,452 American,550 Urban Counter Sniper,805 Bren S1,Drake G2,Duo,Z,vz24 8mm Mauser,FK 7.5 BRNO Field Pistol, PSD

Please forgive me, I meant to write cz 70, as in vz 70.  Sorry, it has been a rough day.
The Czech cz 70 is 7.65 cal, DA/SA and the safety acts as a decocker.

I saw online where some one got one from R-guns and it appeared to be nearly unused.
Granted, it was caked in cosmoline, but that's half the fun of surplus.

We can all make mistakes from time-to-time.

A Google search of "cz 70  for sale" brings up a number of results:

https://atlanticfirearms.com/cz-70-pistol-32-acp-czechslovakian-military-surplus
https://www.jgsales.com/cz-surplus-c-155.html?stID=41&sort=3a&SID
https://www.classicfirearms.com/czech-made-cz-70-pistol-32-acp-semi-auto/

This type of search often yield positive "hits" from all auction sites because they've seeded their hidden metadata with just about every model number there is even though they don't have any at present.

Since I have a gunbroker.com account, I checked there and they have SIX (6) listed although from the pictures THREE (3) appear to be the same gun, but different listings (one of many "tricks" used to try and garner more traffic and boost the viewing and bid amounts).

I prefer to get my C&R guns at gun shows where I can examine the gun in detail, check the bore, etc. before purchasing.

ps. Curious, I went back and looked at all of your previous posts.  You were concerned about hollow point FTFs in your RAMI.  While trying to use .32 ACP hollow points in my Vzor 70, I not only experienced FTFs, but also "rim lock" in the mag.  This model is very sensitive to ammo size and was designed around the European sizes as there are differences in the rim base and OA lengths.  I gave up on HP ammo in mine and I only shoot Sellier & Bellot in it.

I agree with  rdcinhou .. purchasing on line can be a little risky on what you are really purchasing ... the CZ 70's  were well used in the Europe for years and to find a XF or better can be a challenge. James Brown in his book 'Cold War Pistols of Czechovakia'  dedicated 20 pages to the CZ 50-70's.  A great book for the collector.

Thank you both for the responses. Much appreciated.
I have to agree that it is best to try to find one at a Gun Show.
I will most likely go that route.
