Best way to repair ding marks?
« on: February 16, 2022, 02:39:03 PM »
Hi, what is the best way to repair these small scratches on my CZ 75 SP-01?  Anyone know the exact poly coat color?  I would attach pictures here but there isn't the option to do it.

Testors model paint pen. Can't remember if it's flat or satin.

+1 on the Testors model paint. I go the small jar and brush/toothpick route. Satin works best but, if you can't find it, use flat and then oil it once it's well dried.
No matter where you're going, there you are.

If the material is aluminum and it's black use Birchwood Casey aluminum black.

fwiw,

if you plan to shoot the gun more? i would hold off doing any touch up since chances are you will end up putting more dings in it.

but its your life and time to do whatever too

good luck
