CZ Shadow 2 mags can't fit 19rds

Picked these up but can barely fit 19rds into them. They are original CZ mags and say 19rds on the box but these cannot be used as 19rds in a gun with the slide closed. There is no give after you shove the 19th round into the mag. Its so tight that I would be afraid of the feed lips would warp. They would be great 18rd mags but not 19. Anyone have any issues with these? Also, the witness holes on the mag only go to 17rds.

It’s normal for it to be tight especially when the spr8ngs are brand new. Over time, it’ll loosen up. The reason you see 17 on the witness holes is because the tube itself holds 17 and the base pad holds an additional two rounds.

Keep them loaded for a few day and it’ll be easier to fit 19 rounds. By the way, even though my shadow 2 mags can hold 23 rounds, I don’t load them to 23 during a match except for the first mag.

Good to know. Thanks for the reply. I don't have a Shadow yet. We have a mag ban coming in WA state and I'm buying mags ahead of time.
