Barrel Cant
« on: November 17, 2022, 03:14:22 PM »
Hello,
I recently bought a 457 Varmint MTR. I'm setting it up for benchrest with a Harris Bi-pod. With the Bi-pod attached the barrel is tilted 2 degrees. I've tried 2 other Bi-pods, with the same results. I think I need to add a shim to the Bi-pod to level it out. Does anyone have another suggestion?
Thank you,
Buzz

I have a MTR Varmint and found the action/barrel is not centered in the stock. I put a shim in the stock withich centered up everything nicely. Option 2 was to bed the action if that did not work. Might be worth a try.

There are bipods that you can adjust the can’t rather then trying to shim.
