Feinwerkbau P8X
« on: March 21, 2022, 05:59:54 PM »
Last fall I bought an air compressed pistol in order to hone my skills at one handed precision shooting at 10 m during the winter season, in preparation for the summer season with a .22 lr pistol at 25 and 50 m. Quite a challenge since I’ve spent the last 34 years shooting two handed.

Found a good deal on a barely used German Feinwerkbau P8X. Still those things are expensive at $ 1300 (instead of $ 2000 new).

10 m doesn’t sound like much, but the target is tiny. And the hand keeps moving.

Also did my first competition in early January. 40 shots in 50 minutes on electronic targets. That didn’t go too well. It’s a learning curve. There’s a ton of adjustable parameters, grip angle, line of sight, sight width, weights etc.. Confusing for a guy who shot a ton of service pistols and revolvers

The P8X has the finest trigger I've ever encountered. I've been shooting air pistol for over 20 years, and I've tried quite a few. Good purchase!

I set up a simple 10 m range in the front yard, shooting from inside the garage

And took an app for practice and analysis

That's interesting. This has to be one of the coolest pistols I've come across. Have fun with it.
