S2 Handguard Removal.
« on: April 03, 2022, 02:13:12 PM »
I just got a HK SP5, and I'm putting a tri lug adapter in my 9mm suppressor since the HK comes with the tri lug barrel mount.

I just ordered a tri lug barrel mount for my CZ S2.

The tri lug barrel mount is only an inch long and I'll need to take the hand guard off to torque it to spec.

They make a socket style tri lug wrench, but I can't find one in stock.

Looked on YT about hand guard removal, and the only vid's I could find were all for the CZ S1.

Does the s2 have the rectanglish aluminum handguard made by HBI? If so it should be just the 4 torx screws, 2 screws each side of the handguard.
HB industries website should have some helpful videos.  They also sell a 3 lug socket but like you said, it's oos.

https://www.suppressortools.com/ sells a 3d printed socket but I've never ordered from them or used a printed socket.

Don't bother with the 3D Tri Lug socket.

Put a little Rocksett on my barrel threads, and the tri lug attachment.

When I got to 15 FP the plastic socket took a major dump.

I contacted https://www.suppressortools.com/ last night about the 3D socket.

Got up a bit ago and had 3 texts from them. They were very apologetic about the thing, and already started making me a new one on a different machine that they say will be 60% stronger.

Plus they already refunded my money via PayPal.
