TS/TSO CM Floating Trigger Pin Question
« on: February 08, 2019, 07:32:02 PM »

So, I tore down my Czechmate and happened to have a spare CGW Floating Trigger Pin from my S2 so I decided to use it on the CM.  Well today, I went back to CGW to buy an S2 extended safety for my CM and I noticed that there is a specific Floating Trigger Pin for the TS/TSO (which I would assume is also for the CM).

Does anyone know what the difference is between the two?

I've had 'the wrong one' in for about 500+ rounds of live fire without issue.  Should I change it out?  I don't know if I still have the factory pin or not.  I might have bagged it and put it with my spares.

I do not know for sure, i had always though the difference was the locktight/pipe cleaner that shipped with the TS CGW floating trigger pin.

The listed dimensions are the same for the two different pins on the CGW website, (3 ? 2 ? .25 in). Edit: Now that i think about it these dimensions do not make sense to me. Edit2: After further investigation the listed dimensions seam to be the dims of the baggy that the pins ship in.

Yeah, I noticed the dimensions as well and thought that maybe they were the same.  The pipe cleaner and lock tight are confusing though.  I ordered one along with the S2 extended safety, so I guess I'll find out.  I did find the original roll pin so I think I may throw that back in until the new one from CGW arrives.

The way I understand it, the Loctite and pipe cleaner are for securing the floating trigger pin in a tactical sport. In a 75 variant the tension of the trigger return spring holds the pin in place. The TS has a different trigger return spring setup so the Loctite is applied to the trigger pin hole. Yours may have stayed put but I figure they move in some cases.

The pin is the same.  What we do is ensure the pin will stay put with the proper prep (cleaning the frame pin bore using a pipe cleaner with acetone or something similar).

The correct use of the red Loctite (per the detailed instructions) will retain the pin indefinitely and still allow it to be removed and reused if needed an unlimited number of times in the TS, TSO, and CzechMate.

Thanks!!

So does that mean I can leave the pin that's currently in there without worrying that it will walk out until the new pin/instructions arrive?  Or should I still swap out the original pin?

After initial installation, do you need to reapply the red loctite every time you take the pin out and re-install?
