RS Regulate: very disappointing
« on: August 29, 2022, 05:54:05 PM »
I’ve been looking for a RSR mount for a year.  No dice.  They’ve promised them since last fall but just can’t seem to make them.  Maybe they are abandoning this rifle.

The owner of RS Regulate (Horse?) is on here from time to time, so maybe you can message him and get the low down. All of RSR’s side mounts have been in sparse supply for months, so I don’t think he’s picking on the Vz58. I think RSR may just be the guy’s side business (I think).

There are similar side mounts available for the Vz58 on the web (Czechpoint). Don’t know how they compare with RSR, but they are available.

I've been watching several sites, was able to grab a restock about a month ago.

The CSA mounts are very beefy and high compared to the RSR. The RSR mount is as low profile as you can get, but if you can’t find one, you need to use what you can.

I had a CSA mount and it went back - they ran with defective levers - soft as a gumby.  I don't have confidence in them.  It's just evidence that product support is like the number of people around the world learning to speak Czech - not so much.

Huh - well that’s good to know.

Might try Europe or Canada. Here’s one by Tenda that looks like it mounts directly to the receiver without the side rail.
