Tight Zhukov Stock

So I gave up waiting for the HBI Zhukov-S stock adapter (it's still not available) and instead purchased the Reptilia Corp (Side Project) LINK version.  Both utilize the Magpul Zhukov stock.  I received the LINK stock and found the sliding LOP to be very tight and the hinge button to be extremely hard to depress far enough for folding.  These problems appear to be normal as YouTube reviews mention the same problems.  Question is, has anyone found a way to loosen up the operation of the sliding LOP and to ease the depression of the hinge button?

Do you happen to know if there is a difference between the Zhukov everyone refers to and the Zhukov-S?

All the sites with the adapter just mention it as a Zhukov however Magpul calls it the s model and it appears to be overall 2+ inches longer which would help me tremendously if that’s the case. Provided it fits the reptilla adapter.
