Can’t install left side safety!
« on: March 08, 2023, 05:11:39 AM »
Update: figured out the hammer was stuck back [emoji2357][emoji2357]
An hour later. I think this to me longer than the entire job

I’m installing a cz flat face trigger. I’m having serious issues installing the extended left side safety

I install the right side first but then the left side won’t go in all the way

I removed the right side and was able to push the left side safety all the way through and it operates fine when I move it up and down.

Why is the right side preventing the left from installing?

SP-01

I’m converting it to single action only. I removed the disconnect from hammer

If it's a new safety, it most likely needs to be fitted to the right side. Have you tried putting the safties together outside of the frame?

The problem was that I had the hammer in the back position and that was causing the issue.  I guess it would not align everything correctly

With the hammer back the sear may have been in the way of the safety cam on the left slide safety shaft.

Be sure to check for proper safety operation.  The safety has to be able to stop the sear from moving enough to release the hammer.

I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?
