CZ P-09 - Anemic trigger return after M*Carbo spring kit + Trigger polish job

Wouldn’t you know that my trigger return spring would break during a Steel match?  Luckily I had an M*Carbo spring kit to fix it when I got home.  While I was in there I did a complete polish job and the trigger is definitely smoother with a crisper break.  DA is now 7 lbs 2 oz and SA is 2 lbs 9 oz. Perfect for competition shooting.

My only complaint is the trigger return is a bit sluggish compared to the factory trigger return spring. It almost seems to hesitate before returning.  Have any of you had this experience?  How about with the CGW kits?

Mine doesn't have any hesitation (p07) but it does seem slightly slower than the original.  No issues with reliability though just a bit different

Don't shoot competition but I have put CGW reduced power trigger return springs in several CZ pistols.  Never any issues with the trigger return/reset.

I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

Lighter spring=less positive reset. Remove the spring and open it up a little, then re-install. Pull weight will increase slightly but reset will firm up a little too.

Thanks for your thoughts, all.  It definitely functions fine.  I just want a slight bit more positivity in the reset.  Opening the TRS a litte seems like it's worth a try.

I run the CGW TRS in my P-07's.  I haven't personally noticed any hesitation or slowness with the trigger return, but I have seen others complain of this in the past, either on this internet forum or other ones.

In order to prevent failures, I have a routine of proactively replacing the TRS whenever I have my frames detail stripped for any particular reason.  I was noticing in my last spring replacement, how much tighter the new TRS was fitting, compared to the older one... the older one was definitely "broken in", much easier to mash down into the top of the trigger to insert the slave pin for re-install.

I have no hands-on experience with whatever MCarbo is shipping for a TRS, but I'd imagine the conditions would be the same.
