Silicon Carbide on frame
« on: July 22, 2022, 01:56:12 AM »
About to try to cover some factory rubber grips with epoxy and silicon carbide. As I'm doing this I'm also refreshing the grip tape that I have on the front strap and just in front of the slide stop on the frame. And a thought occurred to me that someone might have tried to do the same treatment of epoxy and silicon carbide to the actual frame instead of grip tape. It's a scary thought but I'm curious if anyone has tried and if they had any success or horror stories?

Think I'll start slow with some grips, and the moving to the actual front strap/back strap then to the portion of the frame just in front of the slide stop
