Mine is from 2004 and it has a dull finish. I don't remember it being shiny. I'm also not a cleaning fanatic, I'm from the school of cleaning about every 1000 rounds. I use this criteria for all of my pistols and I don't have any issues because of it.

I think recent years have been blued. Not sure if it's actually blued but it wears pretty quickly in spots. Not sure what type of coating it is. My 2020 P-01 and 2016 PCR barrels both came blued.

The  2021 P-01 Omega I have is not bright.

I wondered about the shiney barrel as well. I got into CZ handguns in 2016 and have all been coated. The coating is most gone on my oldest CZ 75 handguns though at this point. I have actually considered sending them off for tin coating, but the worn look works for me. The shiney barrel with a black slide does look nice though!

All of my CZ's, PCR, P-01 omega, 75 Omega and SP-01 have blued barrels and all of them are relatively new

The barrel coating on my 2016 PCR wore really quickly at the muzzle and ejection port during the first trip to the range. When  brand new, I thought it was used because of the coating wear. The coating on my 2020 P-01 hasn't worn nearly as bad and it's been to the range about 10 times.

I think my PCR barrel has a tighter fit which caused more coating wear. (My PCR barrel-bushing play is a lot less than my P-01) So on the PCR, I removed all of the coating by soaking in white vinegar (of course with ends sealed). It came off quite easily and uniformly.
