P 10C/F follow up
« on: October 13, 2022, 04:40:35 PM »
Shot them both yesterday.  Wanted to shoot the F much more but maybe because it is "American made" it choked on steel cased ammo - the only CZ I own that has ever done so.  The C eats it like candy.

The F trigger is stiff and breaks early - but despite the poor trigger action it shot very well.  Even the CZ hammer guns that have poor triggers shoot well.  The gun shoots accurately and recovers quickly.  The C shot well but not quite like the F.  The F shot better than my M&P despite an amazing trigger on the M&P.

My trigger issue is mainly that it does NOT have the 'second stage' of the pull before the rearward break - which results in a more stout pull and much more overtravel.  But it still nails the center easily.  I have thrown a Overwatch kit on the F - doesn't change much, but wow it is flat and wide making he pull feel a tad lighter.  I just don't like the protruding dingus and the serrated CZ trigger.

It is amazing that CZ did NOT put optic height sights on the OR version.

I do think the finish on the steel is thinner on the US made gun.  The slide release is FINALLY starting to loosen up.  It was impossible to use till today.

Not sure why these guns (US) choke on steel.  Are they CHF?  Made in the US?  or a different process?

No clue - I haven't used steel case ammo in decades. Maybe I'll see if I can find a box and try it in the P-10sd I have.

Measure your steel cartridges and compare those dimensions to a brass cartridge.
