Shadow 2 and palm swell grips
« on: October 10, 2022, 02:53:40 PM »
Hi all,
New guy, so be gentle. I have an SP-01 Shadow that I LOVE. Feels so great in the hand. I want to add a Shadow2 SA to the fold.
In fondling at the LGS the Shadow2 feels blockier. Wondering If changing to LOK palm swell grips will make it feel like my SP-01 Shadow. Will it make the grip Fatter than the SP-01?
Any input will be appreciated.
Thanks

There are a ton of great options from manufacturers such as Armanov, LOK and VZ Grips.  I have large hands so I went with the thickest Armanov grips.  It's going to come down to your personal preference, and you might have to experiment a bit to find the best fit for your hands.

The LOK palmswells I have on both my Shadow 2’s feel very similar to the stock rubber grips on my Wife’s Shadow 1. There is one difference that I like.
The LOK CZ75 palmswells are almost identical to the Shadow 1 rubber grips
The LOK Shadow 2 palmswells are thinner at the top by not having the thumb hump. I personally like the thinner at the top.
There is also another option you can request with the Shadow 2 grips. You can request ‘tall on top’ and they will shape the top the same as the stock aluminum grips rather than not having the taller section that comes stock on their Shadow 2 grips.

I have Armanov palm swell (max) on my S2 and Lok palm swell on my A-01, both work very well.  As AZ said experiment to find what works best for you.
If I had known how much better being retired is than working I would have done it FIRST.

Bought a TS2 and installed LOK Palm Swell grips, fits my average size hand perfectly.
