New CZ 75 B Omega sights
« on: September 10, 2022, 07:53:22 PM »
So I just got this and took it out for a first try. It's been a long while since I shot a pistol and I'm sure that at least part of this was parralax as the targets bullseye hung just above eye level but putting the front sight dot to up level with the rear dots had me shooting low at close range although it seemed to lessen with more range but still not convinced my sight picture lines up elevation wise.  Windage was no issue, rounds were only significantly off jerking the trigger to bottom right from left handed shooting.

Such results are usually due to the way you are holding the gun. Have someone else shoot it and see if they get the same results.
I had a CZ P-01 Omega that I couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with, sent it back to the factory for an accuracy test and they said it was fine. I changed my hand hold grip style and now i hit bullseyes.

Something  I just realized due to being semi ambi-dextrous is that I'm crossed eyed dominant. No big deal with a rifle right eye and right handed but I pistol shoot with my left which is going to make a difference.

Night sights or just the white dots?

When the dots are aligned, where is the top of the front sight in relation to the top of the rear sight?

A lot of people don't like the white dots and will paint over their rear sight dots.

Some people don't even like the glowing rear dots on a rear night sight.  They are happy with only a front night sight.

You may have some options.

If the tops of the front/rear sights aren't aligned when the dots are aligned try a few groups while trying to use top of the sight alignment vs. dot alignment and see if the groups move up on the target.  If so you could try painting over the rear white dots and making front/rear top of the sight alignment easier, more natural.

Good luck with it.
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?
