Sig Sauer 9mm 115gr Elite Ball FMJ Recall - Lot# JDAR0815

Sig Sauer Recall on 9mm 115gr Elite Ball FMJ (SKU E9MMB1-50):  https://www.sigsauer.com/blog/sig-sauer-9mm-115gr-elite-ball-fmj-product-warning-and-recall-notice

Apparently they have found this lot to have varied powder charges and it could lead to squib's!  Take a look at your stock if you have sig ammo and reach out to Sig for instructions to return if yours is part of the recall!

Cheers,
Toby

Would I be correct to assume that someone else makes ammunition for Sig or did they start making ammunition themselves?

Sig Sauer has it's own ammo plant in Jacksonville Arkansas.

That's interesting.  Did they start it from the ground up or did they buy it from another company?

Darn! didn't they just go through another issue with their "Elite V-Crown" apparently the casings varied in size and didn't chamber properly.

High dollar ammo that you can't trust...

Good to know.
I guess I'll avoid this ammo for a while.
Thanks!

Sig ammo (Max Michel's) failed chrono at this years Carry Optics Nationals as well. Apparently Sig is loading light these days.  ;D

Except Sig was the match title sponsor, and it was "certified match ammo" so was exempt from chrono. Not a good look for USPSA.
