New P10C Owner - Never thought I would be
« on: December 02, 2022, 09:23:42 PM »
So, right when the P10C came out I was all in on the P320. I helpd a P10C at a local shop back then and remember I could not get the mag to drop without excesive force on the mag release and the trigger pinched my finger between the trigger shoe and bottom of the trigger guard.

After that I got into CZ and moved away from the P320. The P07 and P09 are my absolute favorites these days. Well, the idea pf getting a P10 again crossed my mind and I figured most of my P07 and P09 mags would work in one. Then I came across a new P10C for $409 and with the $50 rebate I could not pass. So, I now own a base model P10C and I am really impressed so far. Ergonomics are excellent, trigger is good for a striker trigger and mag release is good to go.

I just plan to shoot it and get to know it for now. I did notice on CGW there are quite a few "upgrade" parts for the P10. My question is are they really needed? I heard of strikers breaking back when it first came out, but is a CGW one really needed these days? Also, I see a metal T Block. What the heck is that and is metal really a better option?

I have not decided if I like the factory trigger shoe yet. The safety blade seems like it does not go flush when the trigger is pulled and I am not fond of that. Does not seem as bad as Glock, but I do notice it.

Aftermarket trigger is a must have in my opinion. I'm not a fan of blisters on my trigger finger. Mine have had pretty much everything available thrown at it, I don't think it can get any better. All depends on your expectations and whether you got a decent example.

I have both P10 C & S.  I much prefer the C.  I too am a 320 fan, and of striker guns, these 2 are my favorites.  If I could have only 1, it would be a hard choice; glad I don’t have to make that decision….

It's not an "essential" upgrade but you can lighten the trigger pull by about a pound with an HBI reduced power striker spring.

Congrats, It's a great pistol.  After I bought the first one I had to have a mate for it, so now I have a pair that I rotate practice with.  SHoots just about everything I give it, especially the Russian steel case stuff.  The only exception is Barnaul, which locks them both up hard, have to disassemble the pistol, remove the extractor, and drive the live round out with a dowel, no bueno.  I don't blame that on the guns.

No problems otherwise, just fun to shoot, great triggers, and I shoot them better than Glocks.  The 17 and 19 are awfully lonely since I got the CZs.

ETA:  I did buy a HBI Theta trigger, but  have not felt the need to install it.  Although I think I will still play with it at some point.
I make it they take it

I picked one up a couple of years ago and it is one of my favorite striker-fired pistols.

I went with the HBI trigger and some work by the good folks at CZ Custom.

Topped it off with a Holosun509T and it shoots better than I can...

In my opinion speaking strictly on a defensive pistol all that’s “needed” to add to the P-10c/s is a bright tritium front sight. All else is fluff on a defensive handgun personally speaking. Now on a comp gun do what you want....
Have fun with it I know I do,
