Bushing replacement on a Tactical Sport Orange?
« on: November 16, 2022, 05:28:00 PM »
I'd like to get a tighter bushing on the barrel of my Tactical Sport Orange (TSO).  It's quite sloppy.  I see that Cajun Gunworks sells them, but when I e-mailed and asked them to install it, I received the following response;

"Won't work on the TSO since the 1/4 turn factory bushing uses a different set up.  For instance, the retention pin that goes under the front sight (on a non Orange version) is missing on the TSO.  This pin holds the front sight and the bushing in place."

I'm curious to know if there's something special about a TSO bushing?  I guess I don't mind installing it myself, but CGW's response has me worried.

Any insight would be much appreciated

Cheers

Doesn't the TSO use a standard pressed in bushing?

CGW is confusing the Shadow 2 Orange with the Tactical Sport Orange.  I have CGW bushings in both of my TSO's.  I purchased a used TSO as a backup to my original and the previous owner bubba smithed the bushing among other things (took a dremel to it by the looks of it!).  I put the CGW bushings in both just to be consistent between the guns.  My original didn't really need it.

Just make sure you get a TS bushing as the diameter is different.  https://cajungunworks.com/product/10x-barrel-bushing-tactical-sport-7520tsx/
