TS2

Hi,
     Do the TS2 and Checkmate have the same frame? I'm thinking about buying a TS2. A lgs has a Checkmate that I can handle. Want to get an idea what the TS2 is like.

Just look at the two frames, especially the trigger guard area and the more pronounced 'bump' on the backstrap of the Shadow 2.  The Czechmate  is based on a modified version of the older CZ 75 frame while the TS2 is based on the newer Shadow 2 frame.

Just check out any of the Shadow 2 variants or TS2 variants and you can compare them to the Czechmate that you have access to.  Rumor has it that in the future CZ will come out with a new Czechmate version based on the Shadow 2 frame, but don't hold your breath waiting.

Both platforms are fantastic firearms and you can't go wrong with either. Just choose the one that fits you the best.

They are both a large frame meaning they take the larger magazine body.  They both will have roughly the same girth but as mentioned already they are not the same grip angle and there are other differences since the TS2 has the latest ergonomic updates.

You could get a general idea looking at a Chechmate but they are not identical.
