Single set trigger issue
« on: April 17, 2023, 06:18:00 PM »
I own a 453 LR. that the single set trigger will not stay consistent.I'll  push it forward for the light pull & it'll snap back to the long pull when I try to fire a round. I've taken it to a local gunsmith & he claims he fixed it. Timney does not sell a replacement for a 453. Is there some way I can make this thing go bang properly??

I don't own a CZ 453 but it's my understanding that it uses the same trigger set up as the CZ 527/550 rifles. Somewhere on the CZ-USA web site there is a written rundown on how to adjust these triggers. The instructions are also in the CZ annual catalogs. It takes a 6mm wrench and a 7mm wrench as well as a very fine flat bladed screwdriver.  It's actually pretty easy if you follow the instructions. There are also some UTUBE videos. I tend to go the opposite way with my CZ 527 triggers and adjust the set feature out of them for a single stage trigger pull. Of course, if you had wanted a single stage trigger you would have just bought a CZ 452 instead of the 453.

Thanks Dave, I'll take a look at the UTube.
