well dang, I just noticed your forumname so I think you really do know what a good trigger feels like. I am telling you - you can get really close to a TS trigger in a stock SP-01 with the right parts.
My first SAO conversion was on an old 75 frame in stages. The thread is still up but the pics are gone.
https://czfirearms.us/index.php?topic=92370.msg703494#msg703494BUT....
I Just got through converting a 97B with the CGW SAO trigger and recorded the process in long format and put on Rumble (for the day when YT decides to make our install vids go *poof)...
the 97s use the same action as the 75s so it very similar.
Here is that link to that video - I just ordered the rest of the parts for phase 3 & 4.
https://rumble.com/v215uug-cz-97b-build-phase-2-sao-conversion.htmlAs for triggers, that sucks that you ordered the wrong part - but don't give up, it will be worth it in the end.
Here is my take on triggers...
the first one I got my hands on was a plastick fantastick SAO that someone gifted me at a local match. HOLY crap that made a HUGE difference, but I hated the bendy trigger...
ordered the CGW trigger and poof done...
Then I converted another gun and used the Armory Craft trigger. They are awesome. they have small texture on the trigger too if you like that. They have colored versions too. Dropped that in with the same CGW internals and poof - instant shooter.
When I was looking to build the 97B I wanted a Blue trigger but they were all $$$ and out of stock so I just went with CGW since I was buying other parts from them anyway.
I love letting new S2 CO guys finger bang my old ratty 75SOA or SP-01SAO at a match and watch their pants melt off when I tell them the triggerjob only cost me ~$200..
I'm torn on my next CZ - it will either be another bullshadow SAO or a TS, or another old beat up 75 that I will build up for some ridiculous upper.
Good luck and dont give up! Let us know how it goes
