Titanium slides
« on: July 04, 2023, 02:33:18 PM »
Okay so I know that slide milling is to decrease weight and speed up cycle and lock time. And standard slides can be milled down to compensate for the optic weight. But my question is had anyone ever made a titanium slide? Would there be an advantage? Disadvantages I'm guessing are not hardened where lock up and the breach face are.

The weight of the slide figures into the inertia of the slide's operation. A super-lightweight slide would be counterproductive. A titanium slide would also most likely be cost prohibitive.
