P10C Slide Stuck- PLZ HELP
« on: June 26, 2023, 01:21:16 AM »
Alright guys, I really did a doozy on this one.

I was installing a new trigger on my P10C and lost the tiny spring that goes underneath the take down bar. Knowing it was going to be a while before I either A- found it, or B- bought a replacement spring, I decided to put all my tools and gun back in the case and put them away. Not thinking at all, I put the slide BACK on the frame without the take down bar installed. Now the slide is stuck on the frame and I have no take down bar, and seemingly no way to get the slide off again.

Any help is appreciated!!!!

Will the slide not move at all or does it get hung up after moving it a quarter inch or so off the frame?  If after moving a quarter inch, put it back in normal position and pull the trigger to release the striker, then invert the pistol and try to remove the slide again.

Any chance the slide lock lever spring on the left side of the frame isn't seated and that the slide is hanging on it and that the interference has nothing to do with the take down bar?   I don't recall the details but I have seen threads here where that spring being out of position when the gun is reassembled has been a problem.  You might do a search here if you see the spring out of position.

That's all I can come up with until I clean my own P-10F later today.
