Shadow 2 Reach reduction disconnector fitting...
« on: June 08, 2023, 04:07:00 PM »
New user here!  First CZ as well!
Tackled the reach reduction install myself and it went almost well...heh.

So I was getting a dead trigger on the SA trigger pull after installing the disconnector.
Was taking away material off of the disconnector gradually but then I got too aggressive and I think I took took much (comparing to the factory disconnector geometry).

I don't remember what the pre-travel was beforehand...does this look at least a small improvement from factory?
As long as it's not worse, I am going to just leave it for now; thanks in advance.

You definitely can get a shorter pretravel than shown.  My Accushadow 2 has significantly less pre travel in SA.  I can't speak to how a stock Shadow 2 is setup from the factory?

Congrats on tackling the install!  Now that you have done it once future efforts will be much simpler.

Cheers,
Toby

I found a Youtube before and after video where there is pretty minimal pre-travel:

When I am  not feeling lazy, I'll have to order a new disconnector and give it another try.
And you are correct, the first time I disassembled/re-assembled it took 5x's the amount of time it takes me now...heh.

Thanks!
