New cz p-07 dead trigger intermittently
« on: June 23, 2023, 06:50:41 PM »
I bought this used from a guy said he hasn’t put a whole lot of rounds down it. I have two different slides and it experiences with both slides. I happen to catch on video exactly what happens and if I shake it sometimes the trigger will reset. It has the decocker , don’t know if I need oil or if when he installed the the decocker the Springs pinched or what?

Here’s what’s going on I don’t know where to start any advice would be helpful .. if there’s anyway to post the video directly here without a link but have a thumbnail please advise

Clearly it's not functioning correctly.  That when you shake it, it frees up indicates that something is either binding or misaligned, etc...  Often, dead triggers are a function of the trigger bar or some safety mechanism is in the gun.

If you're even moderately handy, uninstall and reinstall the dococker or safety, following steps closely.

Could be something as simple as the trigger bar jumping off the spring.

Perfect I’ll try that … I little more info it will reset if I hold the trigger all the way back and fling off of it let the trigger reset sling forward no problems .. here’s a video makes me think there’s a reset problem , if someone can tell what part or parts to tinker with it would be appreciated, what doesn’t let the gun reset without force ? Here’s a video shows the problem in detail .. https://imgur.com/gallery/ocKaquv

My 97 had an issue with a false reset. Went through this procedure and it fixed it.

The previous owner may have tweaked the trigger bar spring in order to smooth out the DA pull and may have taken too much tension from it. Follow this link and scroll to reply #1 and adjust the trigger bar accordingly.

posted here as well.  https://czfirearms.us/index.php?topic=119282.0

I have a youtube video of mine here

A few replies that others are having the same issue.

I replaced the trigger with the CGW omega and it went away.  A bandaid and not a fix though, still poretty sure it's an issue with the trigger bar, since i never replaced it.

Could be something as simple as the trigger bar jumping off the spring.

And the test for this is the trigger works when the gun is held up-side down (that is, sights down and grip up). Then immediately stops when turned right-side up.

This was a common issue on early P07's and C100's.
