I guess I am still a little partial to my P-09, but I've learned to shoot the P-10F pretty well. Mechanically, it is almost as good as it gets. The only mechanical problem I haven't figured out yet is how to sling shot the slide from a first round load and get the barrel to lock up in exactly the same position as for the recoil chambered rounds. My first round will usually hit a little higher and a little left of the following rounds. It is noticeable at 100 yards from a rest, otherwise, not an issue for a service gun. But the gun is definitely tight and can be as accurate as any handgun I've ever shot, including some custom 1911 bullseye pistols.
I fired off 20 rounds at this target at 100 yards after sending the first round in the magazine towards a gong at 200 yards out. I had loaded 13 rounds in the magazine, stopped at round 10 and loaded the remaining 8 so that I would not have any slide lock reload before getting in the 20 rounds.
I think nine 10 ring hits out of 20 shots at 100 yards is a pretty good day. It was a perfectly calm morning, and I practiced the two days before to get my eye and trigger finger coordination back after many months of not shooting at all.
I struggled with the P-10S on Thursday, and decided not to shoot it today. It probably just needs a good cleaning and some heavy grease. I'll work on it next week.
