What is fair price for All steel P-01 model 99041 NIB?
« on: October 01, 2023, 07:26:09 AM »
OK I dropped $1200 large on a NIB 99041. From what I've read there was only 50 imported, if true means it is rarer than a honest Politian. What's the poll say? Did I get screwed or get a deal?

You already bought it.. Why care if you got screwed or not? If it's something you really wanted... Then just enjoy it. I've paid a premium a couple times for a specific gun that I wanted.

CZ-USA are the only people who would actually know the true import numbers but I bet it's alot more than 50. There were a good bit of them around a few years back. As far as price goes as was mentioned above you already bought it and if you're happy with your purchase then enjoy it.

Believe the 99021 is the rare one, while the 99041 is still in production -- see here: https://www.czub.cz/en/firearms-and-products-product/CZ_75_P-01

I think $1,200 is a decent deal, though you're overpaying by 50% to nearly double retail...  Up to $1,500 is the current market rate, since these are nevertheless fairly rare.  Their desire and value is likely to reduce with the shadow 2 compact coming online.

50 of the 99041 is what was released when the one-time overproduction or failed LE purchase of 99021 became available.  The 99041 have had a few batches come in since, and I'd say they're at least 3x more common than the 99021 at this point.

And again, a current production CZ-UB item.

There are at least about 1,500 of the 99041 that have been imported. And 63 of the 99021. There may be more, that's only back through about 2017.

I emailed CZ USA about the 99021 back when I first bought mine. Asked them for any history and quantity. I believe it was a Derek that responded. The imported quantity was just under 1500(1480 or something like that, I would have to dig pretty deep to find that email) There was a huge string of info on here about it. Scarlet??? Started the topic. Will see if I can locate it.

Believe you got it backwards.

Yes, I believe this is right.

The 99021 started out in greater quantity, and then the 99041 has caught up and IIRC outpaced now by multiples -- but again, still relatively rare with probably in the 5k to 10k quantity of total imports.

The steel frame and longer rear beavertail are the main differences vs the standard alloy P01 Classic/Omega (has ambi like omega)...  The frame is also slightly wider too.  I think the difference between 99021 and 99041 is largely just slide markings.

What I said is accurate within the constraint I mentioned (only imports back to 2017).

We (that looong string) had dubbed it an SP-01 Compact…today I like to think of it as an almost Shadow Compact! [emoji6]sorry OP we got sidetracked!
